Until now, this site was mainly used to convey information about our summer Vacation Bible Camp for Van Buren kids. Now we are expanding the scope and changing the focus as we examine how the kids of our area are doing all year long.
Our primary focus will be on ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and their impact on the lives of our children AND our adults. We’ll do our best on this site to keep you up-to-date on what is known about ACEs on the national level, as well as what people in our communities here in northern Maine are doing to help lessen the negative effects that ACEs are having on our friends and neighbors.
It will take a while to get the website up and running, but please bear with us and offer your suggestions about things we should be thinking about and doing. We’re starting out in the Van Buren area, but it won’t be long before we join up with people in the surrounding towns. As we work to get the website going we invite you to contact us with your suggestions and observations.
If you would like to be involved, or if you have any questions or comments, please contact me by phone ([office] 868-9895 or [cell] 999-1018), by e-mail (email@example.com), or through the Contact Form below (if you use the Contact Form your comments will be published and others will be able to respond).
